You can ask the same customers to buy the same thing, using the same pitch, over and over again.

There have been instances when a direct marketer mailed exactly the same letter to the same list five times in a row, and continued to get exactly the same response rate.

Now obviously, different people on the list were buying each time, but the rate of purchase was the same.

What does that tell you? That the offers just finally got to those people at the right time.

You can and probably should make the same offer to the same list three or four times with only slight changes in the creative approach.
