Making an offer in a Press Release is tricky

Hi

How To Make An Offer In A Press Release

Making an offer in a Press Release is tricky. You’ve got to get the offer across, without it sounding like an offer. To do this you have two options… 1) Suggest interested parties call an 800 number for more information.

2) Indicate that anyone interested in more information can send for a FREE report.

Either way, it's crucial to word your offers in the release, so they sound more like a public service than a specific commercial offer, designed to “make the sale.”

For example, “InfoFit is making more FREE information about this new fitness technique available to consumers through a toll-free phone call. Interested parties are asked to call 1 800-GETN FIT for more details.”

If you don't word your offers with this public service feel… editors, assignment editors and reporters won't report your offer.
